Rotary Skate Park

Rotary Skate Park in Fresno, CA, is a solid spot for skaters looking to hit some concrete flows and ramps in the Central Valley heat. With a 3.6-star rating from over 156 skateboarders, it’s not the raddest park out there, but it’s worth checking out if you’re in the area and need to shred.

Good skate park. Wish they would have a roll in portion on the large multi-bowl pool or linked it with a few transitions to the flat ground area (would make it more of an intermediate level area) but overall a solid park. I mainly knocked one star off (almost worth 2 stars off) due to this is the only skateboard park in the central valley that 1. Has a staff watching over the park at all times it is open (not necessary) and 2. Requires not only a helmet (smart for everyone skating a concrete park) but elbow and knee pads and is enforced by that one staff on hand. Most street skaters don't have pads (costly and mainly used for vert skaters) and thus the park is underutilized and not friendly to the average low budget skater. Make it a helmet required, pads recommended park and it would get 5 stars...

Here's the situation for all who complain about the padding situation. As someone who works here the reason why there are pads required to work here is because back when it was helmets only some guy came in with a helmet but wasn't riding with it clicked in and fell over and cracked his head opened. He sued the city and no one won because he was the idiot but in the state of California you can sue anyone for anything. Moral of the story this is why the pads rule applies. I dont agree with it but thats the ruling. Hours are 10am-9pm except for holidays. Also the reason why it's not always open is because it is either raining or no one is scheduled to work. Hope that clears things up

Wouldn't let me and my dog skate. Cause we didn't have a helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist gaurds, gloves, shin gaurds, mouth piece, shoulder pads, jock strap, chin strap, steel toe boots, oh yea and a mask. So we chased squirrels instead. 🙂
