My 11 year old son and I stumbled across this place by coincidence and fortune. He is brand new to skateboarding and a shop that sells product, but has no place to skate told us about Rob and his facility. We were greeted by Rob and immediately felt a welcoming vibe. He gave us a tour of the facility and talked about the programs mission. This is truly a place that welcomes and encourages skaters of all abilities to come in and ride and learn. My son had never dropped into a ramp of any shape or size before. In fact he was nervous about just going off a regular height curb at our house. By the end of our session, Rob had him dropping into the biggest half pipe in the facility! Rob answered our noob questions and gave us great insight on what he would recommend as far as a new board went (My son's board was a Target special and was heavy and way to small. Rob let us try a board that was more appropriate for him without any attempt to sell us anything.) We live about 35 minutes away from this location, but will definitely be back soon. If your son or daughter of any ability has a desire to try to learn how to skate, I highly recommend you visit Rob and the Rob Skate Skateboarding Academy! This facility and their mission is awesome!

My son attended the skate camp for a week and it was fabulous! They fit him in at the last minute, which was awesome. The structure of the camp is really cool - they go to different skate parks around the Bay Area every day. The owner and the instructors were fantastic, and I really appreciated how communicative they all were. And my son had a blast.
