I'm reading a lot of negatives about the Johnson Springview skate park. I'm not an expert, but my grandkids think it's pretty fun. They're 10, 7, and 4, and they ride their scooters. The 4 year old is learning well with the help of her older cousins, and I appreciate the more gentle slopes. It's great to be able to go during the day when older kids are in school only because it's less crowded. When it is crowded, I've noticed that most of the older, more serious skaters, boarders, and scooter riders are patient with the smaller, younger kids. I love that!

Dedicated to Tom Sorcci (the legend) Rocklin Skate Park is great for beginning skate boarders, in line skaters, and even bicycles. While it isn't designed for "pro" skaters it serves its intended purpose. Can get crowded during weekends and holidays so be prepared to wait your turn. Its great to take your budding skaters here and let them have fun. Its a good idea to chaperone the little ones as it is a public space.

My kids (both under 10) love this place and the outdoor inline hockey rink. The other people giving negative reviews might be more serious "skaters", but it's been great for my kids to learn.
