Hermosa Beach Skate Park

I've been here in the past and this is the only skatepark that I have a complete distaste for as it is small and not much to do. Another point is that they closed the park for a teaching over there but no one has been there because I have seen with my naked eyes as they are just trying keep out skaters. Overall, a bad park and a sad way of funding and a ghost-town for all skateparks and would recommend the one at the pier instead.

Worst park ever! It’s suppose to be a public skate park but you must have a membership to enter! There is a city staff present at all times, right in front of the door making sure you wear all safety equipment in order to skate. Super Lame! And he just watches you while you skate. Weird! You don’t need a city a staff present at basketball courts, or tennis courts or anywhere! Or charge memberships to be in these premises of other outside sports. It is also a waste of city funds for a city worker to stand and do nothing all day while no one visits because of the major headache to enter the premises. Go skate on the strand at the beach for free, it’s a much a better experience. Shame on the city of Hermosa Beach for in my personal opinion it is illegal to charge memberships to a suppose public skatepark and all the silly safety requirement in order to skate.

Don’t go here, it’s a alright skatepark, but with no flow. You need to have elbow and knee pads plus a helmet. I’ve heard of adults driving hours to go here, and being turned away because of no elbow pads. They make you buy a membership for a PUBLIC park. They say its for covid, but even after vaccination you still can’t go without one.
