We love this park! So much to do, so many organizations utilizing the spaces and giving to the community. Love the new gates for closing the park at the end of the day. So fun to see jetskis, wind sailing, paddle boarding, and more on the lake.

My son and I went to Memorial Park for the balloon glow. The event itself was good. The things that go along with it were not so good. I can't believe how rude people are. Trash cans full and people just placing their trash all around the can on the ground. As if it's so hard to walk to another can. That is more of a complaint towards our fellow USA, Colorado springs residents. I think the event needs to be spaced out more over the area somehow. It's just so very crowded and can be extremely stressful with kids, especially once it's dark. The "family" or kids rides section is a serious hot mess. It's beyond crowded and almost impossible to tell where the lines actually are for the rides. The people directing traffic were not very attentive and they also were not any help for people needing directions to certain parking areas. Lastly, the port-a-potty's ran out of toilet paper very early on in the evening events. I'm sure this is probably a frequent issue. I also know that getting workers needed is probably an issue as well. But that's definitely where I'd put more help when possible. To have them cleaned up just a bit and stocked with TP. The messes become much worse without any paper products. And honestly it's sad to see the kiddos struggle with not having anything to wipe with and trying to make sure they don't touch anywhere, along with their parents trying to help them also. The balloon show was a good one though. And so was the drone show! This is an event I'll probably always attend, even with the frustrating issues.

This is one of our favorite parks. We really enjoyed seeing the ducks. There is exercise equipment all around. Great place to walk with friends or family. The memorial is also a very beautiful and very well kept. There are tennis courts in a baseball field. And an ice skating rink. You can pretty much do anything at this park I absolutely love it and it's walking distance from my home.
