Amazing new skatepark! Great job on the design. Lots of mellow quarters to learn to drop in on. Nice partial bowl area in which it's possible to string together a continuous line. Nice variety of street features too

I encountered the $72 parking fee on my way to visit the park. I pulled into the gate house and told them I was out of town. “It’s $72” I was told. I said “Even for the park? What if I don’t want to do that, how do I get out of here?” They told me to come into the lot, turn here, turn there, look for a sign, etc. I guess it was complicated. They had me enter through the gate and on my way to the exit I ended up a little lost. I had to take a break and get my bearings so I pulled into a spot. I couldn’t see so well so I figured I should get to a high spot and look for the exit. I grabbed my board so I could go quickly. Turned out the high spot was the skate park. I found my way to the highest ramp and although I could see better I took myself around the skate park to check if the view was better. Now I don’t know whether it was intentional but I couldn’t stop riding once I got moving. It was as if the bowls and banks kept drawing me deeper in, pulling me back and forth across the park. About 20 minutes later I finally got myself extracted from its vortex. I was able to spot the exit and make it home safely with my $72 intact. Phew!

was excited as the park was completely empty on a beautiful day. Now I know why, they wanted $42 for parking and theres literally no where else to park and walk from. The town of Norwalk should be ashamed of themselves for gouging like this. *Update* Not only do they charge asinine fees for parking but the park is closed during the afternoon to allow only beginners to skate. Truly a great skatepark ruined by bureaucracy
