Skate Park

How much money did they spend on this useless park? A stairset with another stairset at the bottom. A bowl with a missing side. A bowl for ants. Most of this stuff seems like it would be unusable for anyone advanced enough to hit it, a novelty at best and dangerous at worst. And people wonder why kids skate in the streets.

Teens enjoyed it, I hoped it had a smaller park next to it for my toddler (only reason I gave 4 and not 5 stars), but no luck. If I was a skater, I think it would of been cool. It has lots of different bowls , ramps, stairs, and other slide things. Great view of the sunset and for parents that let the kids go by themselves it's tucked away right between the pool and soon to be new jail, so it's gotta be relatively safe. Open sun-up to sun-down.

I visited here once as a kid, but returning to it as an adult with the skating experience I have now, a lot of the magic I've felt for this place is lost, unfortunately. It retains the 3-star rating I gave it for effort and unique design, but now more than before it's easy to see its numerous flaws in both design and construction. Despite that, fun can still be had here in certain areas of the park, and the 5-stair here was the first 5-stair I ever ollied growing up, so it's a memorable place to me for that. A lack of coping on some very important ramps in the park, a general lack of flow in its design, unrepaired cracks in the concrete, one of the most awkwardly placed funboxes I've ever skated, and whatever purpose those humps are supposed to serve (more like speedbumps with how sharp and unskateable they are) are big flaws, however.
