Mantis Skate Park
Mantis Skate Park in South Bend, IN, is a concrete jungle that’s seen better days, struggling to keep the vibe alive amidst crumbling ramps and a lack of maintenance. With a measly 1.7-star rating from the local skaters, it's a spot that might not live up to the hype, but it still offers a place to roll when you're in town.

Great park, I got to ride in a circle around it, right before I touched an obstacle I was kicked out, kind of odd how a park that nice is locked up to the public for about 9 months out of the year, I’m assuming. They may open it up in the dead of winter, because they tend to have a lot of odd rules over there, but I am not too sure. I visited Warsaw and was extremely let down. As another comment mentioned, this is an outlandish waste of the communities money and taxpayer dollars (I’m assuming, I am not from there, it could of been donated) Since the town has basically banned skating, this would be the perfect place for those skaters to reside, no?

Putting an outdoor skatepark in a community with a sign out front to inform the public about the inherent risks associated with extreme sports, and then keeping it padlocked every day is ridiculous. What a waste of thousands of dollars of equipment.

Nice space and ramps, but too many rules. Would love for it to be open more often and not so restrictive. Signing a waiver is fine, but my kids and I can skate at our own risk.
