notice how all the positive reviews of this skate park are not from skateboarders…they’re from parents of little kids that come here to play, commenting on how clean the park is or that it’s next to a skate rink. i hate that this is the closest skate park to my house. this is one of the worst parks i’ve ever skated. they clearly put some money into it, because as others have mentioned, although the park has never been updated in the years it’s been open, the concrete is still clean and well laid. that’s about the only nice thing i can say about this park. this park has two sections; a huge bowl in the middle which is about 75% of the skate park. the other 25% is a flow section that wraps around the bowl. all of this only accounts for about 50% of the entire park space; the rest is unused grass for some reason. i don’t think whoever designed this park has ever stepped on a skateboard before. the coping on the entire bowl is TERRIBLE, it sticks out further than a pool coping and launches you back toward the flat if you try to air out of it. you can use the shallow part of the bowl as a makeshift mini, but good luck getting in and out of any grinds or stalls on this thing. the flow section doesn’t flow, simply put. the turns around the bowl are too tight to maintain any speed, and the types of ramps don’t help at all. there are kickers where there should be roll-ins, and quarterpipes where there should be kickers. this park has more than enough square footage and money behind it to be skateable. a bowl and a flow section was a terrible idea for how much of that square footage was actually used. this is a shining example of designing something to appease a community you didn’t consult with at all. this park is a useless concrete slab. some reviewers have mentioned that the park is always locked lately, even during hours it should be open according to the posted sign. hopefully that means renovations soon? but i think it’s much more likely they just tear it down and put a cvs there.

The place looks fun, but it’s locked even though it says it’s open so no one can get in

This place is awesome. Its kept very clean. The kids are respectful and they are patient with new skaters. Even the grown-ups are patient and extremely nice to the kiddos. My son was at the hockey rink practicing and he forgot his puck. A nice young man saw he didn't have 1 and without hesitation he went into his bag and tossed my son a puck. He gave my son a few pointers and told him to keep up the practice and went about his way. That's the type of people that go to this place. I highly recommend this skate park.
