This place is a hidden gem around HRM. During the summer they do have a day camp, not usually a problem but, it might be busy around noon. Most days this place has more skaters than scooters. If your not a fan of the crowd then you want to go in the a.m. the afternoon, the evening or at night even. Anytime of day really. The lights here are on all night long. In the park: A bowl up at the top Speedy banks leading down to the common area of the park Saucer to launch out of. Lengthy lengthy 1/4 Tall and short boxes Flat C rail. All and all this park is rad, funky and speedy.

Nice skateboarding park, it can be very busy on a sunny day. A few things need repairs and requires to be re bolted back down. It is in a great spot alot of trees and grass. There also is a garbage can but some folks don't know how to use it.

the condition of some of the obstacles here are quite bad, especially the ledges, and the pool feature is practically useless if you are not extremely skilled and capable. the proximity to the library keeps this park pretty calm and mellow and safe. it is set back from the road quite a ways so the pervasive drone of cars is minimized. this park attracts a lot of parents with their young children, usually riding toy bikes and scooters. fair is fair, but this park is not at all designed for a mixed-use crowd. the layout is circular , and is optimized for performing "lines" of tricks in a row. there is not one area that can really be used separately from it's layout. unless you are careful here, you will almost always be getting in someones way. it is not an easy park to get used to unless you are alone or with a small group. if this park gets busy you may as well just leave. young children on their bikes and scooters never actually ride within the desired paths of the park's layout, so they become the biggest obstacles when trying to skate here. parents: please for god sake don't stand in the middle of the park to monitor your kids.... this helps nothing. a personal complaint is that there really are few options around just to get like a quick snack or drink without having a car. herring cove road is one of the worst roads in HRM to be a pedestrian on. people mostly get in their cars and drive 200 meters down the road to buy McDonalds.
