Owl's Head Park

This park is the best park to catch a sunset 🌅 and to have a picnic or a few beers and sit and chill. You could get a nice bench facing the sunset or you can bring your own chairs and sit it perfectly in front of the sunset. The park is located next to a brush so bring some bug spray for the summer months.

Beautiful city park to visit in any season with nice views of NY harbor, it blends public park with all expected amenities (playground, restroom and skatepark) with arboretum-like landscaping. Former estate of Henry Murphy, which he named Owl’s Head, was sold to Eliphalet Bliss who eventually arranged the property to be sold to city at reduced price and be used solely as a parkland. I’ve never had issue finding parking around park’s perimeter.

This place is beautiful, lots of benches, has a playground with TIRE swings, beautiful hill that is open, and a great view of the bay.
