Not as showy or manicured as Roger Williams Park, but trash cans are present, work on the park was being done, and the ballfield is locked/kept nice. Decent, short hiking paths. Stairs at one part of trail and paved pathways are both in good condition. Nice view of the city from an observation railing. Two sloped areas: one looks good for kid sledding and one looks like dangerous fun lol! The skatepark area is really cool, with lots of features to work off of if you skate or BMX. Folks with dogs kindly kept distance, didn't try to force themselves or their dogs on us or ours.

The city of Providence should be absolutely ashamed by the lack of proper lighting at this park. At 630 PM on a weekday in October, the neighboring baseball field is fully lit with industrial grade lights, meanwhile this skatepark has several major dark spots that create major safety hazards. 100% discriminatory.

Unique park for those looking for concrete features you don't find at every park. Transition is steeper, there's pool coping, noping and thicker steel coping across the QPs and some cool integrations like the manhole cover & trash barrel.
