McKinley Skatepark
McKinley Skatepark in Tacoma, WA, is a solid spot for local skaters, but the mixed reviews show it could use some love. With a 2.8-star rating from 40 riders, it’s a hit or miss depending on what you’re looking for, but it’s a good place to get some sessions in when you're in the area.

very poorly engineered. The middle/main areas landing spot is roughly 18ft of landing before a concrete ledge so not much time to land before having to stop, and if your board flys out fron under you, board damage may occur from flying into the concrete ledge. overall id say it's okay for a quick pitstop skate sesh but any other park will be better. the camelhump into the quarter pipe is cool but c'mon a halfpipe would have been less concrete and it could be ridden continiously instead of a 1 run quarterpipe. so bring your good vibes and make the best of it!

This is literally the worst designed skatepark I have ever seen. I like the idea of little parks tucked away like this but with evreything so close together in this small spot and steep slopes which pick up a lot of speed and go straight into a wall the place is pretty much unskatable. If it was expanded by knocking out the ledge at the bottom of the stairs it could be made pretty cool, the current setup just didn’t do it though.

This is skat park designed to be not be used.. O thought. Back in the day when youngsters needed a place to skate.. The gov' got money to give a safe place to skate. But designed to be for some kind of different gravity or possibly designed to wreck the participant.. either way this park will not see very many riders🛹+🧱=🤕
